Startup of the Week: ChurchSearch
Founded in 2022 by UT Austin student Trenton Balcombe, ChurchSearch is a platform designed to help college students find and get connected to the churches near their school. Many Christian students can struggle to find the right church for them in college, especially when faced with a wide array of Google links and websites that often lack clear information. To solve that, ChurchSearch aims to provide its users with information on each church’s preaching style, environment, congregation size, ministry and more. Through this, students can more easily find a church that fits and get plugged in more quickly. So far, the startup has received funding through Forty Acre Founders, and was also featured on Poets & Quant’s website. They plan to launch in Austin this August, and expand to other cities afterwards. To learn more about ChurchSearch, visit their website or follow Trenton on Twitter.
