Startup of the Week: Samaritan

Founded by Jonathan Kumar and Jason Keil in 2016, Samaritan provides smart wallets for those without a stable home. Their mobile app platform enables nonprofits, hospitals, and other organizations to help individuals in their systems access the financial support they need to achieve a stable job and find a place to live. Samaritan also focuses on including social-oriented resources within their platform, so that those using their platform can find social and emotional support as well. According to their website, they over 15,000 volunteers and have helped over 300 individuals achieve employment, a stable home, or a similarly major goal.
